Australia's Chickpea Exports Post Soft Performance

PANAMA - Dec 2/21 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year revealed a weaker month, with chickpea exports for Australia were well down, plunging relative to the previous month in October, judging from the latest data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.

Movement totalled 54,056 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 24% from the 71,392 MT exported the previous month. Movement so far total 883,174 MT, compared to 349,325 during the last marketing year.

Bangladesh was the largest importer for the month, buying 28,225 MT. Pakistan was the second most important importer taking 8,278 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 5,455 MT.
