Chickpea Exports From Australia Sustain Firm Trend
PANAMA - Nov 5/21 - SNS -- Shipments of chickpeas from Australia were up significantly, rising versus the previous month in September, the most recent data from Australia Bureau of Statistics reports.
Export sales for the month reached 77,589 metric tons (MT), up from 48,811 MT the prior month. This increased export sales so far during the marketing year to 835,625, up 171% last year.
Recent movement data reported Bangladesh was biggest consumer, receiving 36,255 MT during the month. Pakistan was the second most important importer buying 19,437 MT, followed by United Arab Emirates at 10,091 MT.
