Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Maintain Soft Tendency
PANAMA - Jul 26/21 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds for Turkey were little changed, dropping relative to the previous month in May, available data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) reveals.
Imports for the month reached 104,742 metric tons (MT), down from 113,223 MT the prior month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 542,297, down 27% last year.
Bulgaria was the number one supplier during the month, shipping 41,793 MT. Argentina was the second most important export origin supplying 38,506 MT, followed by China at 10,992 MT.
