PANAMA - May 21/21 - SNS -- Mustard seed markets finished the week's trading on an exceptionally strong note in both spot and new crop shipping positions.
Worries about growing conditions were likely a key factor in market performance during the past week, though tightening stocks on spot markets would have also influenced short term prices.
Weather markets tend to be volatile. For shallow seeded crops like mustard seed, drought-like conditions are especially troubling as they generally lead to uneven germination and poor initial plant establishment.
