Chickpea Exports From Australia Sustain Strong Trend
PANAMA - Jan 7/21 - SNS -- So far during the marketing year are maintaining their stronger tone, with chickpea shipments for Australia leapt compared to the previous month in November, judging from the most recent data from Australia Bureau of Statistics.
Export sales totalled 73,698 metric tons (MT) for the month, up 82% from the 40,486 MT exported the previous month. Export sales so far total 73,698 MT, versus 40,099 during the previous marketing year.
The most recent trade statistics reported Pakistan was largest importer, taking 28,575 MT. Bangladesh was the second most important buyer buying 22,005 MT, followed by Nepal at 9,434 MT.
