Oil-type Sunflower Imports By Netherlands Post Slow Month

PANAMA - Aug 19/20 - SNS -- Netherlands's imports of oil-type sunflowers during June posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.

Imports reached 81 metric tons (MT) in the month, down 100% from the 49,318 MT exported the previous month. Imports so far total 372,040 MT, versus 290,928 in the same period the last calendar year.

Recent trade statistics showed Egypt was largest origin, supplying 50 MT in the month. China was the second most important supplier selling 30 MT, followed by Turkey at 0 MT.
