Turkey's Sunflower Seed Imports Post Slow Month

PANAMA - Aug 14/20 - SNS -- Imports of sunflower seeds for Turkey were well down, plunging relative to the previous month in June, data from Turkish Statistical Institute (TURKSTAT) shows.

Total imports during the month reached 134,790 metric tons (MT), down 23% from the previous month's total of 175,413. So far imports have reached 878,098 MT, up from 867,652 during the previous calendar year.

The most recent trade statistics revealed Argentina was most important origin, selling 32,131 MT. Bulgaria was the second most important exporter shipping 29,913 MT, followed by France at 21,008 MT.
