Confection Sunflower Imports By Spain Continue Strong Trend
PANAMA - Jul 17/20 - SNS -- At this point in the calendar year are keeping up a firmer performance, with confection sunflower imports for Spain jumped compared to the previous month in May, according to available statistics from Eurostat.
Imports for the month reached 41,477 metric tons (MT), up from 30,087 MT the previous month. This boosted imports so far during the calendar year to 136,987, up 49% last year.
The top exporter throughout the month was Argentina, shipping 22,808 MT. France was the second most important supplier selling 14,147 MT, followed by China at 2,618 MT.
