Oil-type Sunflower Exports From Romania Continue Weak Trend

PANAMA - Jul 17/20 - SNS -- Romania's shipments of oil-type sunflowers in May posted massive declines, sinking compared to the previous month, according to data from Eurostat.

Export sales reached 3,226 metric tons (MT) for the month, down 96% from the 77,712 MT shipped the previous month. Exports so far total 445,586 MT, compared to 601,255 in the same period the last calendar year.

Current movement data showed Turkey was biggest consumer, receiving 3,200 MT for the month. Other was the second most important destination receiving 24 MT, followed by Australia at 2 MT.
