Few Changes in Chickpeas

PANAMA - Jul 10/20 - SNS -- International chickpea markets were mostly unchanged on the week, with end users pressuring neither processors nor exporters despite expectations of an overall reduction in output in net exporting countries.

Crop conditions appear generally good. The most important producing region in the United States is Montana. The week started with 79% of the crop rated in good to excellent condition, while 20% was rated fair.

The condition of dry bean and chickpea crops in Washington state started the week with 80% rated in good to excellent condition and 16% fair, while Idaho reported 82% of fields were good to excellent and 16% fair.
