Desi Chickpea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/17 - STAT -- Canadian Desi Chickpea markets finished the 2016-17 marketing year with prices offered to growers rocketing 32% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Desi Chickpea was CDN$755.92 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $570.51 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $793.66 per MT in July, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $683.43 per MT in October.
