Holidays Do Not Slow Chickpeas
PANAMA - Mar 25/16 - SNS -- Chickpea markets maintained their firm tone despite holiday shortened trading interest.
Northern hemisphere markets started closing Thursday for the long Easter weekend; while business in India shuttered after Wednesday because of the Holi festival of colors.
This affected buying interest for desi chickpeas and substitutes such as small caliber kabuli-types or field peas.
