Lentils Mantain Firm one

VANCOUVER - May 15/15 - SNS -- North American lentil markets maintained their firm tone through the week, helped by unusually tight supplies on spot markets and continued new crop demand.

Optimism about demand through the end of the year was helped by a downward revision in the size of India's rabi or winter season pulse crop.

Though production of "other" pulses is up over last year, demand for red lentils remains relatively strong
