North American Pea Harvest Underway
VANCOUVER - Aug 8/14 - SNS -- North American field pea markets are rapidly making the transition into a 2014 crop market as harvest activity continues to advance.
Good progress is being made in the United States, while Alberta's field pea harvest is expected to be general within the coming week.
Initial yields in that province have ranged between 1800 and 2700 pounds per acre or between two and three metric tons (MT) per hectare.
