Field Pea Exports From Canada Manage Easy Performance
PANAMA - May 2/24 - SNS -- Canada's movement of field peas during March posted massive declines, sinking versus the previous month, judging from data from Statistics Canada.
Total movement during the month reached 127,817 metric tons (MT), down 70% from the previous month's total of 426,663. So far exports have totalled 2,151,617 MT, up from 1,929,452 during the last marketing year.
The latest trade statistics showed China was largest buyer, taking 50,043 MT. Cuba was the second most important buyer taking 25,000 MT, followed by India at 20,561 MT.
