Green Pea Grower Price Review in Canada
VANCOUVER - Aug 2/14 - STAT -- Canadian Green Pea markets finished the 2013-14 marketing year with prices offered to growers falling 4% below the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for Green Pea was CDN$421.31 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $439.54 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $477.66 per MT in April, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $372.03 per MT in September.
