Modest Firmness in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Apr 11/14 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a modestly firmer note.
Oil-type sunflower seed advanced in reaction to a smaller than expected seeded area estimate, though values are still heavily influenced by soybean oil market trends.
Worries about dryness in some key grain producing states contributed a modest improvement in millet seed values because of the risk not as much may be planted as hoped.
