Peas Quiet Before U.S. Seeding Intentions

VANCOUVER - Mar 28/14 - SNS -- North American field pea markets finished a relatively quiet week on a mixed note in advance on Monday's seeding intentions report for the United States.

The report will include seeding intentions for all classes of field peas combined, along with lentils, chickpeas, dry edible beans, and sunflower.

The relative performance of pulses so far this season suggests farmers in the United States will increase land in peas and edible beans, while reducing chickpea seedings and possibly lentils.
