Canadian Dollar Helps Birdseeds Ease
VANCOUVER - Jan 25/14 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a generally easier note, partly influenced by the continued weakness of the Canadian dollar.
The dollar affects asking prices for canaryseed, which is a key ingredient in birdseed mixes. The week saw both grower and inter-dealer markets for canaryseed ease.
White proso millet seed markets in the United States were also softer on the week, losing half a cent in both grower and inter-dealer markets.
