Chickpeas Surprised by Stock Report
VANCOUVER - Sep /12 - SNS -- Statistics Canada's July 31 stocks in all positions report pegged chickpea ending stocks at 12,000 MT, down from 22,000 MT last year.
On farm chickpea stocks were pegged at 7,000 MT, down from 12,000 MT last year. Commercial stocks were pegged at 5,000 MT, down from 10,000 MT last year.
Chickpea ending stocks were much lower than expected because of a bulge in inferred domestic consumptions levels.
