VANCOUVER - Aug 1/12 - STAT -- Canadian No 1 B-90 Type Chickpea markets finished the 2011-12 marketing year with prices offered to growers leaping 14% above the recent three year average annual price offered to growers in that country.
The average price paid for No 1 B-90 Type Chickpea was CDN$643.79 per metric ton (MT), compared to an average annual bid of $566.67 during the latest three year period for farmers dressed merchandise delivered processing plants.
Analysis of the monthly bid pattern reveals growers the highest monthly average bid was $859.80 per MT in October, while the lowest monthly average bid level was $518.10 per MT in July.
