Chickpea Tone Improves

VANCOUVER - Nov 26/11 - SNS -- International chickpea markets finished the week's trading on a firmer tone against reduced availability of good quality product for shipment through the end of January.

Argentina's harvest is considered half complete, with processors reporting problems with bleaching on account of rainy conditions in some areas.

Moreover, chickpea production has risen sharply in the country in recent years, jumping from 20,000 hectares in 2009 to around 80,000 hectares this year.
