Birdseeds Unchanged to Firmer
VANCOUVER - Dec 20/14 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished another relatively quiet week unchanged to firmer in sympathy with oilseed markets.
Canadian canaryseed was unchanged on the week, while white proso millet markets rose 50 cents per 100 pounds (cwt) in both grower and inter-dealer markets.
The U.S.-based National Sunflower Association noted that new crop confection sunflower contracts are starting to roll out, with prices discounted to spot in anticipation of an increase in grower interest.
