French Pea Exports Rebound in August
VANCOUVER - Oct 9/14 - SNS -- Field pea exports from France rebounded in August, jumping above the previous month but remaining below year earlier levels, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Export shipments during the month totalled 13,480 metric tons (MT), more than double the 5,775 MT shipped the previous month, but down 13% from the 15,525 MT shipped the same month last year.
Most peas were shipped to European destinations, with Belgium the most important, followed by Spain and Norway.
