Statistics Canada Snubs Canaryseed
VANCOUVER - Sep 6/14 - SNS -- Canadian canaryseed markets were disappointed with Statistics Canada's stocks in all positions report for July 31 because the crop was dropped from the report.
Official production and carry-over numbers had become increasingly controversial because available supplies were clearly understated in recent years.
Data collection for the crop has become increasingly difficult because canaryseed is grown in pockets by fewer farmers.
