Canadian Special Crop Index Review
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/14 - STAT -- Canada's speciallty crop crop dealer price index finished the 2013-14 marketing year falling 13% below the recent three year average.
For the season just ended, the Special Crop Index was 168 points, compared to an annual average of 193 during the previous three year period for dry edible bean classes included in the index calculation.
Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was 183 points in August, while the lowest monthly average trading level was 152 points in February.
