French Pea Exports Down in April
VANCOUVER - Jun 10/14 - SNS -- The pace of field pea exports from France eased in April, dropping below both the previous month and year earlier levels, according to data compiled by the Union Nationale Interprofessionnelle des Plantes Riches en Proteines (UNIP).
Export shipments during the month totalled 14,280 metric tons (MT), down 10% from the 15,875 MT shipped the previous month, but down 39% from the 23,385 MT shipped the same month last year.
Most peas were shipped to European destinations, with Belgium the most important, followed by United Kingdom and Germany.
