Improved Liquidity in Peas

VANCOUVER - Jun 7/14 - SNS -- North American field pea markets finished the week's trading on a generally easier note, reflecting improved liquidity in Canadian field pea markets.

Improved movement was reflected in unofficial export data from the Canadian Grain Commission, which suggests 130,500 metric tons (MT) of peas were loaded to ships in May. This is the first time since January that more than 100,000 MT of bulk peas were exported from port terminals.

Companies indicate it has become easier to get railcars from the railways than during the first quarter of the calendar year.
