Stronger Week in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Feb 8/14 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets registered a stronger performance during the week against relatively light trading interest.
Canada's stocks in all positions report contained bullish numbers for canaryseed despite an increase to the 2013 production estimate. Combined with a modest improvement in the value of the Canadian dollar, this helped markets finish nominally higher.
White proso millet seed markets have become more volatile in recent weeks, with markets regaining ground lost the previous week.
Confection sunflower seed was unchanged on the week. Oil-type sunflower seed advanced in sympathy with vegetable oil markets.
