Mixed Week in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Feb 1/14 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets registered a mixed performance during the past week.
Confectionary sunflower was generally unchanged, while oil-type markets advanced at week's end in sympathy with canola and soybean markets.
Discussing the situation, the U.S. based National Sunflower Association said. "Overall old crop sunflower prices have hung in there and bucked the recent negative trend in oilseeds. . . . A small 2013 US sunflower crop and good demand are supporting seed prices.
