Saskatchewan Seeding 70% Complete
VANCOUVER - Jun 2/11 - SNS -- Wet fields and more rain events in eastern and southern Saskatchewan made it hard for farmers in the province to make as much progress seeding this year's crops as they had hoped, with the result the percentage of intended crop planted advanced to just 70% complete as of the end of May, up from 59% at this time last year, but down from the recent five-year average of 81% complete by this time of year.
