Mixed Finish in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Aug 30/13 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, with white proso millet and canaryseed steady, and oil-type sunflower weaker.
Sunflower seed markets are affected by weakness in soybean oil, which is making it hard for prices to follow soybeans higher.
Markets are also not worried about this year's yield potential as sunflower appears to be one of the best performing crops in areas suffering from drought like conditions.
