Mixed Week For Birdseeds
VAQNCOUVER - Jul 20/13 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note, with markets in the United States showing some softness, while Canadian markets remain firm.
Confection sunflower seed markets were largely unchanged on the week, while oil-type declined in value because of weakness in vegetable oil markets.
White proso millet was unchanged, after posting a mssive price adjustment the previous week,. Even so, some birdseed packagers expect prices to make further downward adjustments as the harvest approaches.
