Millet Soars to New Record High
VANCOUVER - May 24/13 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading on a mixed note in quieter trading activity.
White proso millet markets in the United States soared to a new high, gaining U.S. $2 per 100 pounds (cwt) per pound in both grower and inter-dealer markets.
Prices would be expected to correct once this year's crop is planted and markets become confident about the prospective size of the 2013 harvest.
