Millet Sets New Record Highs
VANCOUVER - Mar 15/13 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient marketing finished the week's trading on a generally firmer tone as grower selling remained behind the short term needs of the market.
U.S. white proso millet established a new record high during the week, with nominal prices on both grower and inter-dealer markets advancing at least U.S. $2 per 100 pounds (cwt).
By contrast, confectionary sunflower markets were unchanged on the week, while oil-type sunflower eased in sympathy with canola and soybeans.
