Millet Pulls Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Dec 15/12 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets posted a strong finish to weekly trade, with white proso millet remaining the strongest member of the complex.
Prices set a new record high during the week, with grower and inter-dealer markets gaining another dollar a cwt (100 pounds) against a drought reduced harvest.
Markets will pay close attention to the USDA's final production estimates for 2012, due for release on January 11.
