Canadian Chickpea Crop Estimate Digestible
VANCOUVER - Dec 7/12 - SNS -- Markets were not disappointed to see the estimated size of Canada's chickpea harvest jump from 85,600 to 157,500 MT on a doubling of the total seeded area in western Canada.
Acreage estimates for this crop experience the most volatility of all crops, with substantial revisions taking place throughout the season.
This reflects the fact it is a small acreage crop and less widely grown than other crops surveyed by Statistics Canada.
