Millet Pulls Birdseeds Higher
VANCOUVER - Dec 7/12 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week on a strong note led higher by white proso millet and sunflower seed markets.
Canadian canaryseed markets were unchanged as Statistics Canada reported production was down 3,700 metric tons (MT) from last year at 124,900.
That fact last year's production estimate was revised upward from 102,300 MT made it clear the supply situation for the crop was worsening.
