Easier Tone in Lentils

VANCOUVER - Nov 24/12 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished weekly trading on a generally easier note as product available to markets remains ahead of the short term needs of importers.

Market psychology appears to have been hurt by the fact demand was unusually strong during the summer because of a spike in demand from the Indian subcontinent.

The fact some of the demand is being covered by bulk conventional lentil shipments from product moving through the primary elevator system adds to the sense of slowness because it is product that might have moved through the seed processing plants in past years.
