Crop Problems Support Chickpeas

VANCOUVER - Nov 2/12 - SNS -- International chickpea markets finished the week's trading on a steady note as Argentina was removed as a price threat on account of problems with the country's harvest.

Markets for 9mm and larger kabuli chickpeas have also been supported by problems originating that caliber of product in both the United States and Canada.

Canada does not ship an actual 9mm chickpea, but processors in that country are finding a lower percentage of the crop falling into that size category than normal.
