Harvest Pressure in U.S. Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Oct 28/12 - SNS -- North American birdseed ingredient markets finished the week's trading with a easier undertone in the face of harvest and post-harvest selling in the United States.
This saw white proso millet unchanged to slightly easier in limited trade.
The U.S. based National Sunflower Association notes, "Harvest pressure has not subsided in the sunflower market. Seed deliveries continue to be larger than normal due to an earlier than normal harvest this year. A premium has developed from December onward encouraging producers to store seed for later delivery."
