Easier Tone in Lentils
VANCOUVER - Oct 20/12 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the weeks trading on an easier note against moderately quiet trading interest.
Markets were pleased with the informal grade distribution survey from Saskatchewan Agriculture, which indicated 25% of the lentil crop will grade No 1 Canada, compared to an estimated 54% No 2, 20% No 3 and Extra 3 Canada and 1% sample.
Harvest quality is not as good as last year, when an estimated 31% of the lentil crop graded No 1 Canada, 58% No 2 and 10% Extra 3 and No 3.
