Birdseed Ingredient Supplies Improve
VANCOUVER - Oct 20/12 - SNS -- North American birdseed markets finished the weeks trading on a mixed note against improved availability of new crop product from the United States.
White proso millet seed was unchanged on the week, while sunflower markets continue to be strongly influenced by oilseed markets.
There were reports birdseed mixers have been buying good quantities of oil-type sunflower from South Dakota, taking advantage of lower asking prices resulting from lower average oil content in initial deliveries from growers.
