Mixed Week in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Oct 12/12 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredient markets registered a mixed performance on the week as millet seed growers in the United States started to take advantage of record bids for their product.
This saw that market slip back a half cent per pound on both grower and inter-dealer markets.
Sunflower was unaffected by the USDA production estimates released during the week. Sunflower yields were not surprising, though yield forecasts for North Dakota were lower than expected.
