Lentil Growers Remain Reluctant

VANCOUVER - Oct 12/12 - SNS -- Lentil markets were little changed under relatively light trading interest, with offers from growers remaining just behind the short term needs of the market.

August export trade data released during the week revealed that Canada set a record for exports during the month of August, shipping 124,866 metric tons (MT) of lentils.

As expected, the Indian subcontinent was the most important destination, accounting for 60% of total demand for the month.
