Firm Tone in Birdseeds
VANCOUVER - Aug 18/12 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredients markets maintained their generally firm tone through the past week, helped by ongoing worries about the impact drought is having on yields in the United States.
The drought is having a more direct impact on ingredients such as milo, millet and birdseed as well as human consumption popcorn.
Canadian canaryseed is outside the drought zone, though prices are being supported by the general strength of the birdseed complex.
