Canadian Special Crop Index Review
VANCOUVER - Aug 1/12 - STAT -- Canada's speciallty crop crop dealer price index finished the 2011-12 marketing year leaping 10% above the recent three year average.
For the season just ended, the Special Crop Index was 206 points, compared to an annual average of 188 during the previous three year period for dry edible bean classes included in the index calculation.
Analysis of the monthly price pattern reveals the highest monthly average was 219 points in August, while the lowest monthly average trading level was 190 points in July.
