Mixed Finish For BirdseedsVANCOUVER - Jul 27/12 - SNS -- Birdseed ingredients posted a mixed finish on the week, with markets in the United States steady to firmer, while Canadian canaryseed weakened. White proso millet seed markets in the United States jumped another dollar on the week, leaving grower bids three cents a pound short of the record 23 cent bid set in 1994, and marketing only the second time in the past quarter century that millet bids have been above 20 cents per pound. Confectionary sunflower seed markets were unchanged on the week, while oil-type sunflower was down slightly in sympathy with canola and soybean markets.
