Ongoing Demand Helps Lentils
VANCOUVER - Jun 16/12 - SNS -- International lentil markets finished the week's trading on a generally firm note, helped by ongoing demand from the Indian subcontinent.
Importers in Pakistan and India had been covering prospective losses in rabi season lentil and other pulse production for several weeks.
However, recent media coverage of the problems helped focus attention on the issue, adding psychological support to markets.
