Few Changes in LentilsVANCOUVER - May 25/12 - SNS -- Lentil markets finished the week nominally unchanged in under mixed trading conditions. Processors in the United States were pleased to see the latest USDA PL-480 food aid tender request offers for 250 metric tons (MT) of product for shipment from origin shipment points during July. The USDA is also seeking another 150 MT of lentils and/or whole yellow and/or whole green peas for the same shipping period. That portion of the tender will probably be covered by peas.
